Recent Highlights

One of the main motivations behind the Perception System is to contribute to environmental preservation and the advancement of sustainable development. The project is an extension of the AlfaCrux space mission, evolving into an application focused on environmental monitoring and the development of a robust database to support the formulation of new public policies.

Moreover, by being structured on modular platforms, Perception provides tools to support the continuous training of highly qualified human resources, both at undergraduate and graduate levels. It also promotes the exchange of researchers and specialists, strengthening national and international cooperation with research institutions and companies in the productive sector. Some recent highlights include:

  • 1. Modeling and simulation of a new satellite data collection system, including:
    • - Assembly of platforms for logical and functional analysis of subsystems;
    • - Simulation of the space environment;
    • - Setup, analysis, and management of user terminals.
  • 2. Investigation and analysis of data reliability in satellite-based systems, including:
    • - Development of solutions for data management and processing;
    • - Proposals for digital twins to monitor the environment and critical infrastructures.
